I’m delighted to be hosting a celebration of the Winter Solstice again this year, actually on the day itself! Great
timing. This event sold out last year and I fully expect it to do the same again this year because it’s such a treat. And I have two new surprises for you this year - a new venue and a special
I’m delighted to share the work of Aya Zebrowska with you. She is a talented Sound Bath creator who also
describes herself as a writer, singer and medicine woman. She will be creating for you a deeply healing Yoga Nidra and Sound Bath which she describes as ‘healing rest’. It is a remarkable
experience and one that is profoundly nourishing - not to be missed!
In this time of long nights, when everything comes slowly to a stillpoint, the Earth is rebirthing in its natural cycle. This early evening session of gentle yoga movement, Yoga Nidra
and Sound Bathing is an invitation to connect to the cycles of Mother Nature, using as inspiration the creation, by us!, of an evergreen Mandala in the centre of our space.
Our gentle yoga practice will encourage us to look to our inner light at this time of greatest darkness when the world tips over after the Solstice into slowly longer days and a
steady return of the light. A mindful movement practice with mudras (meaningful hand gestures) and intention setting will lay the ground work for the Sound Bath to follow.
The Sound Bath, in the heart of winter, will support you in dropping down, layer after layer, to open gently to the beauty and wisdom of the present moment - personally allowing the
leaves to drop, and putting to rest everything that needs to rest. The sounds of Gong, Tibetan Bowls and Shamanic Drum will envelop you and gently carry you on resonant waves of harmonny to reach
deep inner peace, so settled and so blissful.
”Are you the gong lady? Oh my god, the Sound Bath was the best thing that happenied to be at Shambala.” Jenny, a grateful Sound Bath experiencer
The venue this year, Well Bath in Charlecombe, is a new one for me, and I’ve chosen it as it felt so right to be in the countryside, with no traffic or city noise, just clean country
air. The studio we will be using has a brand new wooden floor with underfloor heating and the energy in the space is great as so many wonderful practices are run from here.
There’s plenty of parking and a large reception area where you can help yourself to a herbal tea and a chat beforehand if you arrive early. This is a fabulous place for our Solstice
Well Bath is less than 10 minutes drive from most locations in Bath and there is plenty of free parking but I am going to
encourage lift sharing wherever possible.
