Chair yoga

never too late to get active!

Mondays 1:15-2pm (from 13 May)

I’m delighted to be able to offer, from Monday 13th May, a class for anyone who feels a chair would be useful for their practice. We will sit on the chair and where appropriate, use it for support in standing poses. The class will include a range of functional movements, stretches, strengthening and balancing practices to ensure everyone feels suitably challenged by the class.

We will also cover simple but profound breathing, meditation, visualisation and relaxation practices.

I do need to head off quite promptly after the class so you are invited to arrive from 1pm to enjoy a cup of herbal tea and a sociable chat before we start 🙂

Would you like to try a class?

It’s so straightforward to join a class. You can pay for an individual class to try it out and then when you’re ready, purchase a 4 Class Pass or an 8 Class Pass if you like.  Class Passes have no time limit.  You also never have to buy a Class Pass if you don’t want to.

You can pay cash when you come (pls bring the right amount as I don’t always have the right change!) or pay in advance here (link below) or pay with a card when you come.

You won’t ever be out of pocket – if you need to stop coming to class for any reason before the pass expires, just ask and you will receive a full refund (minus £2.50 admin fee).

This class is at the Bath Methodist Church at Weston, Newbridge Hill, Bath BA1 3PP. This is a large carpeted airy space with wheelchair / buggy access and plenty of space inside.  There is a small kitchen area too for water etc.

The entrance to the church is right by the mini roundabout at the top of Chelsea Road, next to Cadence Bike Shop.  I’ve been teaching in this community space for years and love its warm and friendly atmosphere.

There is no specific parking at the church but you can usually find parking spaces in nearby residential roads.  Just give yourself a bit of time to find a space. Careful on Chelsea Road as it has a one hour parking limit before 6pm.
